A relay race is a proper competition, unlike decathlon / heptathlon, where you need a results table and a calculator to know who won.

At last decathlon and heptathlon aren't a farce but an historical event... What's is the next event that will be allow by IAAF and CIO to join at Olympics, the 5x135m without shoes? :p

A multi-event is to determine the actual best overall athlete, a random mixed relay is just....giving in to people who at all costs need to have as many good events replaced by mixed events.

poor day #2 for Thiam in Götzis...she still won with big margin (almost 400 pts) over Anouk Vetter (NED), but "only" managed to score 6806 points at the end of the weekend (more than 200 less than her PB and even more from the declared target of Carolina Kluft's European record)...

Marathon course for Tokyo 2020.

Finally we'll have an Olympic marathon starting and finishing in the Olympic stadium like it's supposed to!!!

Also, looks like there aren't any loops. Just a straight 42 km course, awesome.

Looks like they have to deal with a hill at the end, based on elevation chart. Would love to see that finish:champion:

The walks will be held on a circuit in the gardens of the Imperial Palace.
