Loch losing gold is a much bigger surprise. Luge is more predictable than biathlon.

Loch already has 3 olympics golds + will probably win another one here, so it is good that someone else got the chance to win a gold medal. We also have to keep in mind that it was completely his own fault, which makes it impossible to be angry about this result even from a german perspective.

Agree, but what is the bigger surprise among the following two?

1) Loch losing gold

2) Neither Fourcade nor Boe winning a medal

If Gleirscher had been 0.02 slower in Lillehammer WC then he wouldn't have even got selected for the Austrian team!

I was certain that Loch will win 3rd gold in a row but after i saw that he had 11th time after 1st checkpoint i knew that something will go wrong. Major upset,he had big advantage over Mazdzer. Pitty.

Although this season Loch has been doing exactly this time and time again. But yeah, didn't expect him to throw that away.
