In the trial round he was lightyears ahead of everyone else, in the qualification it was much closer. Either his jump in the trial round was much better or everyone else got suddenly much better in the qualification ... what do you think? Matthew Parr was the only athlete who ended his competition before the OC back in 2014 (he took part in the figure skating team event, men's short program). According to the wind Points, he was among the Jumpers with the best wind conditions in trial round. But nonetheless there is a difference between having basically the best wind of all jumpers and having the worst, and the points can't compensate everything.
