How is Hallelujah by one k.d. lang eligible for this contest? :yikes:

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

Hi- I’m overseas, busy and don’t have computer access. I will this evening though so I will vote, don’t worry. :) When is the deadline and do I just message you my choices?

You need to send your votes to @amen09, the host.

Officially the deadline is in less than one hour, but I'm sure it can be extended until the evening passes overseas. :d

1. (b) All songs must be ORIGINAL to the nation for which they are competing. In other words, if a song is a copy or cover of an original song by an artist from another nation, then it is ONLY permitted to participate for the nation of the artist who produced the original version. If the artist of the cover version are from the same nation as the original artist, then the cover version must fulfill rule 1(a) in order to be eligible to participate.

Leonard Cohen, the original writer of Hallelujah, is Canadian.

K.D.Lang is also a Canadian performer.

That means that everything is pretty Canadian.

And that's the reason why this is eligible as a Canadian entry.

I love how you were so professional and official whilst I simply went with being very Canadian :CAN

Everybody should enter with their own cover song as long as it is from a Dutch singer. We could have a Dutch appreciation month. I'm taking The Common Linnets.
