Did anyone follow snowboarding parallel slalom today? The results look pretty weird and apparently many big names were missing.

well, actually 99% of "big names" were there (unfortunately I couldn't watch the race, but I read the detailed final results on the FIS website)...

it's just that many of them didn't make it through to the top 16...

results are not so weird...it was parallel slalom, not PGS...so most specialists are different, especially this season, where we only have PGS at the Olympics (having therefore the top PGS specialists left aside for a while the PSL specific workout)...

moreover, PSL is always so close that's difficult to predict the outcome...sometimes it's just a question of luck in the qualification round...

for sure PGS has a lot more established "elite", so to say, who are always in the top part of the final standings than PSL...

Ok, thanks. I missed the fact that it was PSL. Non-olympic events are normally not taken too seriously, its the same in alpine skiing parallel slalom. I wondered why Ledecka didnt compete, but i think she finished 5th or something like that in womens downhill training, so apparently that was more important for her than competing in the PSL, although i think both events took place in Austria, so probably she was just too lazy to compete in both ...

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!
