Looks like Glavan can't keep this pace. 4th place incoming, after finishing 4th in both 2013 and 2015.

Was there ever an athlete who finished 4th at three consecutive World Championships?

400m runner Chris Brown finished 4th in the world championships 2005, 2007 and the Olympics in 2008, then 5th in the world in 2009..... very tough streak.

Marco De Luca despite being called Lorenzo for the whole race has decided to keep his original name :p

Only 4 women finished. Randall, who caused this event to be added this year with the help of her lawyer, had a gap of 42:26 after 40 km.

Now they insist for it to be added to the Olympic programme to reach gender equality.

IAAF face more threats of legal action as Tokyo 2020 set as next target for women's 50km walk

As the article says, " Gender equality could be achieved by adding it at Paris 2024 but it could also be done by dropping the men's 50km race walk from the programme."
