Overall the level in womens 400 free was pretty bad, but its nice to see younger girls performaning at their best here. I think either Li or Titmus will win a medal. Weird to not see girls like Kapas, Carlin, Friis or Ashwood in this.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

Swimming not showing things like PB/NR/SB etc in the results definitely is something they're still behind on compared to athletics. There's not even PB's in the start lists, that just sucks.

Instead of such usefull marks, they filled the screen this time with a bunch of useless graphics. :p

Exactly! +0.1m, showing someone is 10 centimeters behind, come on, we're not blind :d (and if we were, those graphics would not be very useful anyway)

It's sad to see swimming is so far behind other sports with these kind of things.

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

Julio Maglione (81) is still the FINA President...

with some "magic" in the whole procedure, the elections that took place earlier today also designated Husain Al Musallam as vice-president...

to be noticed that Al Musallam is also president of the Asian Olympic Committees Association and involved in many scandals (there's a video where he tried to get money from a potential Chinese sponsor, another procedure in the US where he's charged with attempted corruption of a soccer referee and other major and minor issues always about corruption here and there)...

moreover, FINA reinstated Vladimir Salnikov among their Bureau members (Salnikov is deeply involved in the Russian State Doping affair)...

what a wonderful and transparent future is ahead of all swimmers and swimming fans throughout the entire world...:facepalm:

Ah, thank goodness there are fresh new faces here to shaken up the sport and bring in innovative ideas.

As now we come across the world
To share these Games of old
Let all the flags of every land
In brotherhood unfold

C'mon they do it, they change the name to syncronized swimming

No, they changed it to artistic swimming :p

Which makes just as much sense as synchronized swimming, by the way, so no problem with that.
