Might have as well just stayed home. I agree with you, but looking at the team they've sent we can't expect much. Most of the big names are taking a year out. The real test will be to see how Callum Skinner and Katie Archibald do.

This time last year the British Federation were very worried about getting good results in Rio - but they always said that a new generation would be ready for Tokyo and possibly be better than ever before. dcro 10,172 Posted April 12, 2017 Author #25 Share Posted April 12, 2017 Great time for Vogel/Welte in women's team sprint. Unfortunately, the first thing that comes to my mind when I hear about these two is their London 2012 gold... That competition was quite pathetic. #banbestmen

dcro 10,172 Posted April 12, 2017 Author #27 Share Posted April 12, 2017 Oh, so Belarus doesn't get a re-run after falling in men's team sprint. Didn't know that rule is only for certain nations. #banbestmen

China set WRs in both qualification and first round. Great Britain was also faster than Germany in qualification. First Germans got into final after GB's relegation, and then they won gold after China's relegation. In the final round they were also slower than Australians that won bronze medal match. So that was gold for Germany despite not having the fastest time in any of the rounds. heywoodu 1 #banbestmen
