The Simplon Pass descent we had today is a pretty wide one, with good roads, good curves etc, meaning: high speeds!

 

110km/h for Lars Boom, 126km/h for Marcus Burghardt and so far, the winner is...........Kevin Reza with 135km/h :yikes:

You do know it was a downhill? :d 

 

Even I managed 75km/h in a slight downhill in GBR some years ago, on a horribly bad bike (that was not meant for racing and that started shaking at that speed) with a big backpack.....not hard to imagine pro's can reach these speeds on racing bikes, big descents and with aerodynamic positions :d

I forgot today's stage :d 

 

Well yeah there's no doubt he's the main favourite for the green as always, you don't need to be the best pure sprinter for that anymore since a long time :p
