Olympian1010 7,418 Posted October 30, 2019 #183 Share Posted October 30, 2019 The record for summiting all 8000m peaks by one person was broken today. A Nepalese climber managed to climb all the peaks in one climbing season (from May 2019-Oct 2019). He beats the previous record by 7 years. What a feat! What a day for mountaineering! “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. Olympian1010 7,418 Posted November 4, 2019 #184 Share Posted November 4, 2019 Alex Honnold and Tommy Caldwell have successful free soloed a second Route up El Captain. Amazing achievement. The route was deemed impossible past the the halfway point, but these days the impossible is becoming the possible in many sports. “Sport has the power to change the world. I also refrained from posting his name later, bucease a minor journalist, like myself, dropped a bombshell report that he may have missed one of the summits (technically) because he summited in the wrong spot or something. The UIAA and Himalaya Project are working to verify his record from my understanding “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. Quickly gaining popularity as a college and beach sport in North America. The game I shared isn’t the best example, so apologies for that. There have been some damn good exciting matches though. “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire.
