hckošice 13,128 Posted August 20, 2017 #198 Share Posted August 20, 2017 Recap of Slovak athletes competing in Day 1 As expected early eliminations in swimming today, all our athletes failed in the heats, Silvia Lászlová finished 5th (in overall 30th) in her 50m Butterfly heat with 28,13s. Tomáš Klobučník double London and Rio olympian finished 3rd in his heat and overall 25th in the 100m Breaststroke with 1:02,37. And Barbara Bartovičová finished 7th in her heat Overall 30th in 200m Backstroke with a time 2:22,78. In Judo, Matej Hajas competed in the -100kg category, winning his 1st round match against Mhdghassan Hebba of but losing in the 2nd Round to Hadis Ramic of In men´s Artistic Gymnastics Slavomír Michňák failed to advance from the qualifications, He competed only on 2 apparatus, finishing 38th on Floors, and 37th in Pommel Horse. Clearly the best results from Day 1 came in Archery Recurve Individual, Especially Alexandra Longová finished 10th in the Ranking Round with 643 points, Thanks that she had a bye in the 1st round and entered the competition later in the 2nd round, She defeated Xena Chendra Homapoy of 6-4, next match in 3rd round is scheduled tomorrow against Prachi Singh of India. Among Men´s Vladimír Hurban got 621 points in the Ranking Round, In 1st round he eliminated Vít Vejražka of 6-2 in a derby match, but then lost in the 2nd round to Dan Olaru of 0-6.
