JoshMartini007 2,210 Posted April 1, 2016 #13 Share Posted April 1, 2016 (edited) As a reminder Africa won’t be in contention for any K2 boats since they were the worst continent at the World Championships. Also a nation cannot qualify more than two athlete quotas in the canoe events and cannot qualify multiple boats in the same boat category (eg. Men’s K1 200m and K1 1000m), should this occur the athlete spot will go to the boat with the longer distance while the 200m athlete quota will go to the next highest ranked nation. Like all continental qualifiers South Africa will likely decline any quotas won here so the spot will eventually go to the next eligible nation. Also, only nations that competed at the 2015 World Championships are eligible to earn quotas. And this sadly means no chance for Libya even though their athlete won his heat in C1. Eligible nations are actually marked with * on results lists. Edited April 1, 2016 by dcro #banbestmen
