Michael Jung has published his competition plan for the season.

Major competitions

Rolex Kentucky - Rocana and Takinou

Badminton Horse Trials - Sam

European Championships - Lennox (!!)

His (current) selection for the Europeans is 9-year old Lennox, who still hasn't competed in a single 3* competition! If Jung can pull this of then there's really no doubt about who's the best event rider ever.

What a jump-off in Bordeaux WC. :d Four of the former/current World No. 1 riders knocked the same fence down! And that fence wasn't knocked by anyone in the initial round. :yikes:

This caused a very much surprising podium with :FRA Epaillard as the winner.

Also, it appears as though :GER Guido Klatte and :AUT Max Kuhner have now secured their tickets for the WC final. On the other hand, some top names are really struggling to secure their places, and they have only one more chance at the last qualifier in Gothenburg later this month!

New Zealand's Wendi Williamson & Dejavu have won the Asia/Pacific regional final in dressage last weekend and have thus qualified for the WC final in Omaha.

This is the first time in history of WC (established in 1986) that a Kiwi rider has qualified for final. However, going all the way to Nebraska for one competition is not an easy decision for her, but hopefully she will go. :cheer:

In any case, New Zealand is building a very nice team in dressage, they will certainly turn a few heads at the WEG next year. :)

Middle Eastern qualifier was held today. Qatar and UAE have qualified for the final. :UAE made a big surprise, they are going for their first Nations Cup final and they eliminated Saudi Arabia. :KSA is declining very much in their most successful Olympic discipline...

Tomorrow we have the first North American qualifier, where :CAN:ESA:MEX:USA will be chasing their first points. :)

Sadly El Salvadoran team didn't start in the second round after getting a cricket score of 49 in the initial round. :(

Nice win for the Irish btw (Irish based riders in the USA). They seem to have more of a winners' mentality over those in Europe, so maybe they should be given a chance at big events. They defeated both USA and CAN, who had some strong riders entered.

Nice result! Would be nice to give our American based riders a chance at the WEG.
