Onto more serious stuff tomorrow, with the final climb starting at sea level and finishing at 1700m.

Nope, the epic 28km final climb has been shortened to barely 12km and already finishing at 860m due to snow :(

Meanwhile stage 3 of the Tour of the Alps has been changed as well because of snow, we won't see one of the 2000m+ climbs.

Teams in the Tour of Croatia are mad :d

First they had a 227km stage yesterday and then an almost 500km (!!) drive to the start of the 2nd stage :yikes:

@dcro Couldn't you plan the start of stage 2 a little closer to the finish of stage 1? :d  (or the finish of stage 1 closer to the start of stage 2 for that matter)

I don't really know. :d If they wanted to have a flat sprint stage on the first day, they could have easily put the finish in Karlovac for example.

Meanwhile in the women's race at Fleche Wallonne, Puck Moonen :NED has already dropped the pace after 8km...confirming once again her contract at Lotto Soudal is most likely not because of her performances, but her looks.. (she's sort of semi-famous here and mostly in Belgium ever since her relationship with cyclo-cross junior world champion Eli Iserbyt came out)

Todays stage in Croatia has a huge MTF. 28 km with an average 5-6%, that is a climb for the Giro/Tour  :yikes: For a 2.1 race, they are really punishing the riders.

Well, it seems like they're trying to make the race an alternative warm up for the Giro to make it more interesting.

Nibali is a massive favourite, but guys like Zoidl, Roson, Hirt and Hansen will be interesting to see.
