Nope, the epic 28km final climb has been shortened to barely 12km and already finishing at 860m due to snow If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! heywoodu 13,555 Posted April 19, 2017 #113 Share Posted April 19, 2017 Meanwhile stage 3 of the Tour of the Alps has been changed as well because of snow, we won't see one of the 2000m+ climbs. heywoodu 13,555 Posted April 19, 2017 #114 Share Posted April 19, 2017 (edited) Teams in the Tour of Croatia are mad First they had a 227km stage yesterday and then an almost 500km (!!) drive to the start of the 2nd stage @dcro Couldn't you plan the start of stage 2 a little closer to the finish of stage 1? (or the finish of stage 1 closer to the start of stage 2 for that matter) Edited April 19, 2017 by heywoodu If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! (or the finish of stage 1 closer to the start of stage 2 for that matter) I don't really know. If they wanted to have a flat sprint stage on the first day, they could have easily put the finish in Karlovac for example. #banbestmen
heywoodu 13,555 Posted April 19, 2017 #116 Share Posted April 19, 2017 Meanwhile in the women's race at Fleche Wallonne, Puck Moonen has already dropped the pace after 8km...confirming once again her contract at Lotto Soudal is most likely not because of her performances, but her looks.. (she's sort of semi-famous here and mostly in Belgium ever since her relationship with cyclo-cross junior world champion Eli Iserbyt came out) If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Well, it seems like they're trying to make the race an alternative warm up for the Giro to make it more interesting. Nibali is a massive favourite, but guys like Zoidl, Roson, Hirt and Hansen will be interesting to see.
