heywoodu 13,547 Posted April 2, 2017 #91 Share Posted April 2, 2017 Well Quick-Step's win is basically secured of course. If the group catches Gilbert it'd be really weird if Terpstra doesn't take the win If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! heywoodu 13,547 Posted April 2, 2017 #92 Share Posted April 2, 2017 Incredibly deserved victory for Gilbert, going solo with over 50k to go and finishing it off = If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! heywoodu 13,547 Posted April 9, 2017 #93 Share Posted April 9, 2017 And we're live for Paris-Roubaix, the 'Hell of the North' Tom Boonen's last race, Belgian TV was already talking as if they're showing an 'In Memoriam' kind of thing If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! heywoodu 13,547 Posted April 9, 2017 #95 Share Posted April 9, 2017 20k to go, we're on the way to the infamous Carrefour de l'Arbre cobble section with 7 in the lead: Oss, Van Avermaet, Stybar, Langeveld, Moscon, Stuyven and Roelandts (of which we can discount Oss for the win, he's just there for GvA). heywoodu 13,547 Posted April 9, 2017 #97 Share Posted April 9, 2017 This finish was amazing, Van Avermaet, Stybar and Langeveld (well, mostly GvA and Stybar, Langeveld was dead ) playing hardball for the win and Stuyven and Moscon all of a sudden coming from behind and catching up Did NOT see that coming And Patrick Lefevere's team not winning is usually good so yay Van Avermaet If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Federer91 2,140 Posted April 9, 2017 #98 Share Posted April 9, 2017 I dont think i have seen (at least in the last few decades) a better classic season than what GVA is doing. 4 wins and another 2 second places, simply amazing.

Wasn't Philippe Gilbert doing something similar not long ago? And Tom Boonen too. Edited April 9, 2017 by dcro #banbestmen

Gilbert 2011 is without doubt up there (Winning the Ardennes classics as well as Brabantse pijl and Strade Bianchi with a 3rd place in MSR and Top 10 in Flanders as well). Boonen 2005 is close as well.
