Well when 14 countries are out, that by definition means that our chances get bigger  (still very small of course, but bigger than when all countries are there)

I am not even a fan of basketball, but this is beyond ridiculous They want Lithuania out of 2016 Olympics now as well, together with Spain... (That's like 1/5 of our entire squad)

All it takes to take out Jordi Bertomeus ClownLeagues out of european basketball. There is enough time till Eurobasket, so i think FIBA is just trying to see if the countries will rethink their participation in ECA/ULEB next season before it starts.

I mean NBA is also commercialised and don't share it's profit with FIBA Americas, why USA not banned? If need for money is bigger than sport itself for FIBA - basketball should be dropped from Olympics (same what it was with baseball) or get reduced to U23 (same what it was with football).

According to German news agency SID, the FIBA has asked German federation today, if they had "a general interest" to host an Olympic Qualifier. So this means the banned teams might not be allowed to play at the Olympics or the Qualification tournaments either.
