Add :BER Bermuda to the likely qualifiers. Tucker Murphy is back.

That's interesting. There was an article written (and even the FIS website) showing he retired.

I'd assume the Bermuda Olympic Association asked him back as there really isn't any other athete close to competing for them atp.

:KOS has officially qualified.

73 nations are qualified right now.

The following should qualify (all have athletes meeting part of the standard/good enough to qualify):

:MAS

:IND

:TLS

:PHI

:HKG

:THA

:MGL

:PRK

:DMA

:MLT

:MDA

:VEN

:ARM

:ERI

:TPE

That leaves us with 88 nations that should qualify (hopefully all of them choose to compete).

The following have athletes just outside qualification and may qualify:

:MAD

:BAR

:JAM

:NEP

:PAR

:TTO

:ISV

So a record 95! might be competing in 2018.

Unlikely to qualify atp:

:NGR

:SRI

:VIE

:TJK

:UGA

:CRC

:ALG

:ECU

:SGP

:TGA

:AFG

:GHA

Nigeria's bobsleigh women are #42 in the world rankings. Go up 2 places and they get an automatic place reserved for Africa

Australia used it in 2010 in the women;s bob, after the FIBT refused to give them a quota. So Ireland got bumped, but they got reinstated due to the FIBT's error.

2 North Korean cross country skiers have just both scored under 300 points in a race in Russia, Han Chun Gyong (251 points) and Pak Il-Chol (295). Their women both got around 350 points. So it definitely looks like we will see North Korean cross country skiers in South Korea for the Olympics!

ISU qualifying standards in speed skating should be absolutely no problem at all for Pedro Causil of Colombia, so that's very good news :)

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!
