Another good day for Mexico, with a bronze in men's weightlifting and a silver in women's sabre

Also happy to have 2 semifinalists in 3 events in swimming, with one of them making to the finals in men's 50m backstroke, and also our rower qualifying to the semis s in single sculls  and of course our women 3x3 winning their first two matches.

A little dissapointed by Cervantes in men's foil, because I was expecting a medal from him after a good pools round, but again he fails in the important match.

Maybe it is. So far all 50/50 stuff hasn't gone in our favor.

Buuut, deeper cause is probably economic strain and cuts in sport funding.

Tables turned now with the fist medals. But cuts in funding are affecting Brazilian athletes as well, and if Bozo becomes the new president, we'll be doomed (he plans to extinguish the ministry of sports).

And that meansall funding would be cut?

There is no official stream for rowing. However, the channel that has rights here (tyc sports) broadcasted the finals today with their own cameras (and will also broadcast tomorrow because there are good argentinian chances).

Is there any way for us no Argentina’s to watch?

Yes, I think so. His supporters seem to believe sports eat up a lot of public funds, so they are okay with the idea of not funding Olympic sports anymore (this would probably not affect football, since clubs manage their own income and use their own money to hire players). People around here are really dumb. You have no idea. For example, Bozo has been very vocal about even revoking labor rights and sharply decreasing income of families, and even so people think this is the best thing for the country and vote for him.

Ah I now understand why he was called Bozo! :d

So this is just Brazilian version of Trump, who is just plain crazy yet people are supporting him? Right?
