I mean, don't they already have a quota place and besides that, SVK isn't eligible for wild cards are they? yes, we have 1 quota but it will be used by our cross-country specialist. the well I don´t know how to translate it correctly "wild card" is for a athelet already qualified in another cycling section. it means just use the athlete qualified in road race also in MTB. anyway we have to wait for the UCI decision. I just hope that he doesn't replace that cross-country specialist who has been chasing Olympic points for the last two years. That would seem unfair. #banbestmen
JoshMartini007 2,209 Posted May 24, 2016 #26 Share Posted May 24, 2016 You need a minimum of 10 points to compete in mountain biking. Does he have that?

That would absolutely be unfair, but if him doing MTB wouldn't take a spot away from someone else, I have no problem with it In fact, it'd be great for MTB which usually isn't exactly a sport that gets a whole lot of attention, but with Sagan joining that will certainly change that, at least for Rio. If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated!
