But as far as I know, Sigulda is NOT designed for modern bobsleigh?

I mean the World Cup starts there this year so...

Yes, but no 4-men which is the prpblematic one.

Maybe they plan to remove 4-men anyway, in the name of gender equality...

I’d be down for monobob over four-man. More nations, more driving focused racing

Dude. Add an event that's made for the youth athletes (monobob), ok, but stay away from the main event of bobsleigh.

I don’t know if I’d consider the four-man what it used to be, it’s expenisve, requires larger tracks, etc.

But we have one-man event already, it's called skeleton :p As a bobsleigh fan I can't imagine disapearing of four-man.

We (Sofia) are planning a candidature for the 2024 Winter Youth Olympics. Our sports minister said things were very positive after a long talk with the IOC last week.

weren't this games planned to be held in 2025? I read somewhere that IOC was planning to have an Olympics (senior or youth) every year, so the youth should be moved both to odd years

They were but the IOC scrapped the planned year change last year, hence why the next Summer Youth Olympics will be held in 2022, not 2023 as originally planned.
