hckošice 13,244 Posted September 14, 2018 #41 Share Posted September 14, 2018 And history has been made today, The two Hungarians clubs (DVTK Jegesmedvek Miskolc and MAC Budapest) started their first season in the Slovak National championships, first ever "open" Slovak extraliga season. Next Tuesday in 3rd round Košice will host Miskolc, gonna be something like a derby since both cities are very close of the border First round results. Great start for HC Košice way to go, this season we must win this title back and Standing after 1st round, *SVK U20 National Team already played 4 matches phelps
phelps 6,853 Posted September 14, 2018 Author #42 Share Posted September 14, 2018 (edited) tonight some of the most important European Leagues started their new season... among those, the Finnish Liiga (JYP lost to HIFK in OT and Tappara lost to Ilves the Tampere Derby), the German DEL (Red Bull Munich won on the ice of the Eibaren Berlin the re-match of last season's final series), the Czech Tipsport Liga (Plzen destroyed Liberec in the most attractive match) and the Slovakian Tipsport Liga (the reigning champions, Banskà Bystrica lost at home on penalties against Liptovky Mikulas their season opener)... tomorrow it's time for the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) to start... Well, Nitra is definitely one of the contenders, but overall, yes, but we must take into consideration, this was for both their first matches in new environment, new league, new system of play, they just need time, to adapt. I am pretty sure it will not take long time and the results will be pretty different. phelps
