for nations choosing to try to have their own good runners, for "justice"

sure we could have 3 Ethiopians or Moroccans...but i think it leads to nothing, African-born runners have clear advantage. UK, France is sth different, Italy, Turkey etc...c`mon Ali Mustapha Sprinter Barnes - it`s even a bit funny ;)

Why would runners from ethiopia or morocco want to compete for Poland if they could compete for Germany/GB/France/Switzerland/Netherlands?

That definitely looked like Sedney (the last Dutch runner) stepped on the outside line.

Duplantis decided to already clear 5.95m with the bar at 5.50m.

Maybe because in Poland the athletics "market" is less saturated and they could earn more money from sponsorship if they do well? (I mean, France and Germany have dozens of great athletes fighting over sponsors and funding). It also doesn't seem like a bad country to live in at all.

The same is true for Netherlands or Switzerland and there is more money in those countries + those countries are clearly better places to live + you get much better along with english there + you probably face people with a more welcoming nature. In the end this is a ridiculous discussion, we wouldnt lead it if Poland was the country competing with "foreign" athletes, then everything would be fine and we would be told that all of those athletes only compete for Poland because they love the country so much.
