Because there could be a general standing with every prediction contest counting for it

So simply say "Ok people, there were some problems, short notice etc, so the contest will go ahead, but it won't count towards the general standings."

Participants happy (at least most of them, I suppose) because they didn't spend their time for absolutely nothing, you happy because there's not an 'unfair' general standings or something. Nobody loses, unlike now.

Prediction Contest is open again. Tuniscof is online so he will take the decision.

I decided to take the decision because tuniscof was not online since more than 48 hours and I didn't know when he would have been back (I also tried to contact him on Facebook).

I think to run this contest would be the wrong decision, but since tuniscof is the organizer, he will decide.

This one definitely can't count for the general standings. Short notice, not complete templates, contradicting statements from prediction contest mods... It's back to the same old story from 2016 and 2017 (for which we still don't have results btw), as @Pablita very well explained in her post.

There must be some rules, although they can seem harsh, they should be for the best. I don't think prediction contests on Totallympics can survive any more flops to be honest...

I agree (and honestly I think most participants wouldn't have a problem with it), but at least let's have the people who did have their predictions in have their contest. Consider it sort of the Biathlon auf Schalke of prediction contests: it doesn't count for anything, but those who are there do want to win :p

Ok, I agree, this contest might not be counted for general standing, but give people chance for competing, as I remember good in old forum main motto for the prediction contests was "You not must be expert to taking part, it's just for fun"

what about qualifiers , guys , do i have to fill them in my own or just write qualifier ?

I have just left 'Qualifier' where I think the qualifier would lose in round one anyway (just not at the men's tournament because there I thought it would be useful, but it wasn't :p ), and where I thought the qualifier would win at least the first round, I wrote the name with (Q) behind it.
