phelps 6,792 Posted June 16, 2018 #13 Share Posted June 16, 2018 it looks like a good day for our foil guys, but once again it's a disaster for our sabre girls... individually, they just can't get a decent result...that's scary (and annoying)... phelps 6,792 Posted June 16, 2018 #15 Share Posted June 16, 2018 in the women's Sabre, Velikaya was absolutely unstoppable...a full lap ahead of the rest of the field... in the men's Foil, Garozzo threw the title away...you just can't lose a bout from 14-11 up when you're the Olympic champion (even if the refs make a clear mistake on the forelast hit)... however, congrats to Cheremisinov (2nd individual European Gold for him), who killed the Italians on his way to success... and we already have a Russian double in day #1... Agger 1,587 Posted June 17, 2018 #16 Share Posted June 17, 2018 A very fine result in the foil yesterday and now Patrick is doing well in the epee.
heywoodu 13,540 Posted June 17, 2018 #17 Share Posted June 17, 2018 Apparently Tulen got screwed against Yannick Borel, where Borel was awarded a point that never should have been counted (he scored it after the referee stopped play) and Tulen did not get a point he should have gotten. If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!
