  9. so the inevitable but completely understandable decision happened. Bratislava Capitals decided to retire from this IHL season. Still was not decided about the future of the club, but I have some feeling that the very well end of this club will not take too long to be announced
  10. + the whole team (apparently according rumors) and Shiffrin (apparently according rumors of her back pains)
  11. Our parliament released first measure after that famous "Hooligans orgy" in Trnava last month. Tickets for risky sports events will be sold from now on only for name and surname, while the organizer will be obliged to allow entry to the event only after verifying the identity of the spectator with the ticket. Until now, the obligation to sell ticketsonly for the name and surname of spectator for a risky event applied only to the fans of the guests teams, after the new it should be for all visitors (home, guests and any other spectators) to all the classified risky sports events.
  12. New and totally unexpected topic in Slovak parliament, we have a weed war MEP of the PS (Progersivne Slovensko) Tomáš Valášek presents his own proposal for the decriminalization of marijuana in Slovakia. Parliament should discuss it at the November part-session. In addition to this amendment, MEPs will discuss a proposal to reduce severe penalties for Marijuana possession, which were introduced by MEPs from the leading Coalition parties. Valášek comes up with a proposal that would decriminalize the storage of marijuana for personal consumption up to the amount of 60 grams of the substance...dear lord , or the cultivation of five pieces of plants. According to the press release of Progressive Slovakia, the current legal regulation punishes people who are not dangerous for society with heavy penalties. Which is a fact the pain for using and posession of Marijuana is in Slovakia currently the highest in Europe. You can basically finish in prison for longer time than for a murder lol. For possession of more than 3 "doses" you are punishable from 10 to 25 years. All parties (except the Neo-Nazis) basically agreed with the reducing penalties proposals and should vote for it this month, now on the decriminalization, but I feel like this can happen only when elephants will fly above the Tatras lol
  13. Mateusz Sochowicz suffered a bad and weird accident today while testing the track during the training week for next year's Olympics in Beijing. According to the first information, the athlete broke his leg and they had to take him to the hospital. According to the Polish media, the Polish athlete was injured due to a technical failure on the new Olympic track. The light at the start was green, but for some reason the entry gate he hit did not open. For the 25-year-old Pole, this could mean the end of the Olympic season,
  14. Petra Vlhová will skip the Lech/Zuers parallel. Instead want to continue her training camp before Levi. As she already mentioned she will skip a couple of races this season, the globe not being priority at all. Everything this season is built only and only for the Olympics.
  15. So I am now a standalone separate category ? or how should I understand it ? just kidding ofc
  16. Another legend officially retired. Well, he did not play since 2017 after back surgery for a herniated disc, but yesterday his tweet made it official. Marián Gáborík 2x Olympian 2006 & 2010, one of the very few players who played two World Cups of Hockey 2004 & 2016 (Silver) and 6 World Championships Tournaments. Junior WCh 2000 bronze medalist. Huge NHL star where he played more than 20 years. (1035 regular-season games in the NHL and had 407 goals and 815 points in 17 seasons. He scored 30 or more goals seven times and is fifth in scoring in NHL history among Slovakian players. He won the fastest skater contest at his first All-Star Game in 2003 and was named MVP of the All-Star Game in 2012 in Ottawa.) Ďakujeme "Majo"

  20. So 2 days after the tragic death of Boris Sádecký was today found the body of the Bratislava Capitals GM, the only 36 years old former player of Slovan Bratislava or HC Košice Dušan Pašek Jr. It appears to be a suicide... His father was Dušan Pašk Sr. Former legend of Czechoslovak National Team and Slovak hockey who was also found dead at 38 after commiting a suicide with a gun in 1998

  22. All this week´s IHL matches will start with a minute of silence and all players will wear a 10 on their helmets as tribute to Boris Sádecký deceased yesterday after the collapse last week during the match between Dornbirn and Bratislava Capitals. Bratislava Capitals matches against Ljubljana and Znojmo originally scheduled this week are postponed to later date. https://www.ice.hockey/en/news-en/?id10736/144407
