  1. He basically has no FIS points or WC SL points hence the low number. I can’t see him after this season, he’s not even competitive in his GS, so I guess he’ll just quit. Roberto Nani, although “only” 30 years old has completely lost his GS start number and with low bibs at EC, his results there are not even cutting it close to what you’d expect from a GS specialist. I don’t think Italian federation will even put him in the A-team or maybe even B-team if his results don’t drastically improve. They have enough younger skiers doing well in EC to let Nani go care-free.
  2. Hmm totally normal for such an old skier to have such stamina and speed. She must be completely clean.
  3. I’m still against team events in Olympics, especially if majority of the top skiers even bother to show. Feierabend and Aerni (for not even skiing) now have the same amount of gold medals as Vonn and Goggia. Laughable. It makes winning an Olympic medal much less of a prestige and if Ryding and Tilley properly prepared for it they could have won a medal coupling with two scrubs.
  4. “Nobody from FIS didn’t even want to hear about re-watching something. I’ve never even seen the time written.”
  5. I don’t know, the coach said they made 3 protests and nothing was done about it so he had to go focus on the bronze medal match. He said “they probably just wanted a Korean in the final”, which seems to be true.
  6. Yeah I was wrong, it’s the boot. But even it’s a bit strange that they didn’t want to take his protest seriously. And even if he didn’t finish first, this looks like they’re at least completely tied.
  7. Yes the one in the back. Even in other pictures his boot was infront of Lee’s and as I said even if the time was equal Kosir would have advanced to the final. Apparently he made a protest three times and in his words the time guys “didn’t even want to hear it”. Really disappointing.
  8. Feller raced twice I think, others yes. Not sure why they can’t get them at least in one race, I’m sure they can use them in a dead rubber or against a bad country even if they’re that bad which they’re not.
  9. While I’m rewatching the race, it does seem Kosir was faster or at least had an equal time to Lee? His board is clearly over the line while Lee isn’t. If their times were equal Kosir would have been in the final as he had a faster Q time.
  10. I know, I watch the tour regularly. While Leman hasn’t been perfect this season, he was 2nd last season and 3rd two seasons ago, so this season he was obviously focusing on the Olympics where he was 4th last time. Men had an open field where 10 of them winning a medal like Chapuis, VON, Flisar, Del Bosco, Fiva etc., while women mostly had Naeslund, Smith, I guess Thompson considering her great qualifying run. Serwa was seen as a medal possibility, but not really a winner. And that silver from Sochi was quite surprising too, not like it’s a big proof she’s a gold medal favorite lol.
  11. Serwa’s was more surprising than Leman’s.
  12. Shame for that mistake from Kosir while leading in the SFs, losing by +0.01 must be terrible. At least he got a bronze though. Was hoping Fischnaller could take the medal, but he really should have posted a higher qualifying time to avoid Galmarini so fast. These two have been meeting constantly in early rounds it’s sort of like a curse, I was hoping today was his day but no. Happy for Nevin, he’s obviously the best this year, so it’s good to see he didn’t succumb to the pressure.
  13. Yes Lizeroux got a gold medal last year despite not racing.
  14. Why Feierabend? She was W/L 1-3 only winning against Hungarian. Another one of those, ‘I’m lucky I’m in such a team’ medals.
  15. I’m surprised he didn’t claim Korea is the favorite in that 1/8 match-up.
  16. Ugh Frida messed it up for Sweden. Can’t see ASL winning.
  17. Shame that Zuzulova’s big career ended just like this, losing to Duerr in a parallel race. I still hope she changes her mind and has a true Denise Karbon kind of farewell run in Ofterschwang.
  18. Duerr and Strasser should save this for the Germans, unless Zuzulova is in better shape than we think she is.
  19. Weren’t Canadians silver in Vail? Or somewhere?
  20. Galmarini, Dufour both Italians, Karl, Payer, Prommeger, Wild, maybe outside chance for Kislinger, Baumeister, Kosir and Lee too. Basically the whole circuit is so close you can never point out a winner, cause most of them can win. Basically, Mastnak, Kim, Sarsembaev and Kwiatkowski the only ones with no chance, most of them surprise qualifiers.
