  1. Bit of a weird interview as well. It's like his image as a swimmer is more important to him than his actual family, even saying "so that my family and everyone will recognise me as a swimmer again". I really don't think being recognised as a swimmer again should be priority when you're screwing your marriage.. By the way, a quick Google search leads to his wife being Yuka Mabuchi...a Japanese diver?
  2. I've seen a lot of Sagan wins, obviously, but holy cow this was one of his very best bits of cycling ever. Maybe Vlaanderen 2016 is above it, but that's about it. What a ride.
  3. The event might have some delay. A private situation has come up today and I'm not sure how much I'll be able to focus on this at the very moment - which of course isn't the priority for me right now, but I do want to have the right mindset to deliver something good. I know I won't be able to listen all songs and vote right not, for example, that'd be unfair to the contest given that I'd probably rush through them just to get it over with.
  4. Geoghegan Hart screwing the lead group by joining them with his only 2:41 minutes behind the pink jersey.
  5. [hide] General 1st Place 2nd Place 3rd Place Week 2 (Stages 10-15) Vincenzo Nibali Wilco Kelderman Jakob Fuglsang [/hide]
  6. Yeah I was happy with being the only one who didn't have Thomas on the podium, but I'm confident that my 'Kruijswijk will win' pick isn't going to end up so well
  7. Jos van Emden gave some examples of the Giro organizers being the Giro organizers: teams are in hotels with total public access, where the riders - who are supposed to be in their 'bubble', like they definitely were in the Tour - had to share the buffets and so on with local guests. The organization has a big role to play in this slowly going down the drain with two podium favorites and a whole team already out..
  8. Speculations based on nothing I guess, since they also didn't withdraw the whole team fromt Gent-Wevelgem after the Tiesj Benoot situation last week. And there we go, a specific item saying Matthews won't start (which one can read as 'the rest will start'). https://teamsunweb.com/mm-giro/
  9. To be fair, the Tour de France seemed to have been much stricter in terms of protocols and such, as for example shown by two positives meaning you're out, whereas in the Giro even four positives doesn't mean you're out unless you decide so yourself.
  10. Who could have expected that a peloton of 160+ riders cycling together for hours and hours while spitting around and yelling in each other's faces would lead to some positive cases? I wonder what Vuelta organizers are thinking at the moment.
  11. If it's Kelderman, after Kruijswijk and Yates (and Thomas' misfortune), I'm switching to Vincenzo Nibali actually being from a place where voodoo magic is real
  12. The Jumbo positive is none other than Steven Kruijswijk, damn. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Sunweb's positive is Kelderman, considering he's actually doing good and didn't have his usual bad luck yet.
  13. Huh, I guess I must have only added India to the OP while forgetting the playlist Thanks!

  15. APELDOORN - The Totallympics Open International Song Contest 2020 will be held in the city of Apeldoorn, but the focus definitely won't be on the city alone. Apeldoorn has been chosen because it's in the heart of the Veluwe, arguably the most beautiful part of the Netherlands - at least the entire Dutch delegation, every member of which was born and raised on the Veluwe, agrees. There's many centuries of history located here, sometimes in the obvious places, other times way more hidden. A word from the President of the organizing committee: "I was born on the Veluwe and spent many an hour cycling around it's forests, but there was towns not twenty kilometers away from home I'd never even heard of until I happened to come across them via some small forest road." As one would expect, these places have their history, and it's often near these hidden gems where one can find things like hills. Huh, hills? Yes, hills. Not your regular hills, but burial mounds, thousands of years old. Our President once more: "Take Niersen. Maybe three people and a cow live there, who knows, I think I was 25 when I happened to come across this place. Blink and you passed it, while cycling, but apparently I didn't blink. It's not a very interesting town, but the surroundings more than make up for it: the burial mounds, thousands of years old, are unmissable once you know they're there, and this area has been inhabited for at least 6000 years! Sorry it took me so long to find them.." Anyway, the Veluwe. The true green heart of the Netherlands and as organizing committee, we would absolutely stress any Totallympian who ever visits the Netherlands to come and pay the Veluwe a visit - a Dutch delegation member would be more than happy to personally welcome you! It's really not that special, until you realize thousands of years ago a group of people gathered here to bury someone The majestic red deer, King of the Veluwe - during this time of year one can hear their mating calls echo for kilometers across the forests in the twilight, the committee President can speak from experience and say the sound alone is impressive!
  16. The playlist is up-to-date https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLzUHeCF584Usl2kyCF-e_8s3lVBxom0re
  17. Right, not necessary for Germany anymore I see, still for Malta @Glen, which is no problem. Then there's Moldova @Ionoutz24, if a song is submitted before Wednesday, it's fine by me.
  18. Right, catching up on the last few days and going to enter everything in the playlist that isn't there yet now. If it's still needed, for anyone who needs it: a time extension is no problem @catgamer
  19. Right, this thing with hemispheres being different than 'the Western world' and so on always confused me
  20. Totallympics has got another Brazilian Rollerski Circuit win The 5k freestyle, as announced yesterday: revenge! @brunamoura crossed the line with a victory scream in what was a massive new personal best time! Second place for Duda, who absolutely broke apart her old PB The women and girls are improving left and right and that is really awesome to see!
