  1. Might result in the Olympics being cancelled.
  2. Wouldn't be surprised if they're aiming for a medal or two in the next Olympics.
  3. By the way, with this 5k Stolz has now passed Shani Davis and Sven Kramer in the Adelskalender, the alltime allround ranking. Only Roest is ahead now, but of course Stolz has a lot more to gain than Roest, who already has 6:02 and 12:35.
  4. In the end I think especially Ning's 34.4 did the trick, that was...masterful
  5. Huh? The whole talk about these entire championships has for days been around "how on earth can Roest hold off Stolz?", they are basically the only two riders in the entire field with more than like 2% chance for the gold, and it's universally seen as 50/50, or with Stolz as favourite If nothing super weird happens, nobody other than Roest has any serious chance to come anywhere near Stolz. Of course, after 34.10 Stolz's chances have skyrocketed even more, and the 6:14 he just posted is even more insane. Roest needs the race of his life in the 5k, 1500m and 10k to even stand a chance now.
  6. Surely the surprise wasn't for him winning that? Biggest favourite for a single distance ever in the allround championships
  7. Good to know Dale is a friendly guy Campbell Wright is a super nice guy as well. He was part of one of the groups in Livigno, training under an Italian former biathlete where everything was just focused on the money, it's great to see he got out of there in recent years and has really started to show his potential! And while you're at it, give an extra cheer to Aita Gasparin, Lena Häcki, Lotte Lie, Michele Carrara, Anastasiya Merkushuna and obviously Baiba Bendika, all of whom are super friendly people as well
  8. Young me would have never imagined one day there'd be a whole segment on the main Dutch daily news program showing several clips from Dragon Ball Z
  9. I saw there's a surprising amount of Dutch athletes still in it, so it got me slightly interested Is there like a daily schedule or something to be found somewhere?
  10. It's not necessarily a problem, she would have easily gotten a visa. The problem isn't that the USA didn't grant her one, it's that due to her having visited Cuba, she should have used the regular visa application process instead of the simple ESTA process, which both her and (more importantly) her federation apparently missed. Had they applied for it in the regular way, well in advance, there most likely would not have been any problem.
  11. Yeah, Tomingas is huge and has towers for legs (wait until you see Maya Cloetens though) Awesome that you're involved as volunteer! Without people like you sports can't happen, so thanks, and have fun!
  12. I know, but I meant in our case here on the forum where we're just joking a bit while enjoying the biathlon
  13. I can't think of Chipotle without thinking of Chipotlaway
  14. Plus in the end it's just joking around I wouldn't mind if people say the Netherlands is just full with people smoking weed while either ice skating or wearing wooden shoes
  15. Christiansen getting away with 3 edge shots
  16. Is it wrong though when statistics say the average US family eats out 4 (!!) times a week?
  17. Campbell is exploding, but holding on quite well
  18. Gun in one hand, some fast food or take out dinner or whatever in the other
  19. Be glad they're not carrying guns, because 'Murica
  20. In almost every international outdoor sports event in the US, from the Tour of California (cycling) to marathons to skiing, there's someone running around in a big T-Rex suit
