  1. How is that a 250.000 pts question on a sports forum?
  2. Yeah. They have a 20 man squad in Egypt of which 16 are active for the matches. At home they can have up to 15 reserves ready. They can make 5 changes during the Championships (not counting changes due to positive tests).
  3. Swedish media is calling that Idre Fjäll will host the ski- and boardercross.
  4. I see that the Dutch Government has ended up stepping down. Can you tell more about the situation, @heywoodu?
  5. Emil Jakobsen has tested positive. However there's a good chance that it's an old virus giving the positive as he was positive back in November as well.
  6. If (in theory) only about 35 % of the Japanese population decided to get vaccinated, it would be nowhere enough. Btw even without those extra 60 million doses, Japan would be set to get plenty. According to Bloomberg, 120 % of the population is covered. It's not quite Canada and UK who are set to be able to vaccinate everybody 3 times while the EU is at 183 %. But one thing is the hosts, most athletes are afterall from other countries.
  7. It has now been confirmed that Denmark is prepared to host instead of Belarus. Talks are also going on with Slovakia.
  8. Though much of Fox news has cut ties there are still some major supporters there. Meanwhile the last 4 years has showed quite a lot of what Trump on the ticket does. 2016 and 2020 were pretty good (sure they lost the presidency but down-ticket they did very well) while 2018 and the Special elections were pretty disasterous. Sure a lot vote for the party and not the person, but it would be crazy not to admit that he managed to get a lot of not so republican voters out there who could very well be lost again if he or people like him aren't there. Don't get me wrong, the Republican Party could certainly also end up lie before Trump again, but it is pretty damn uncertain.
  9. Cancelling half a year before would be way too drastic, especially considering that close to 1/4 of countries has started rolling out vaccines. The Olympics will without doubt need to do a lot of work to secure the bubbles of the athletes and helping athletes in especially Africa and small and/or poor countries would be a major boost as well. Sure, cancelling half a year in advance could be an economic solution, but in other ways it would not be the right way.
  10. Why? A republican pollster (though not one with the greatest reputation) showed about 2/3 of the republican voters would vote for him, even after the situation at the Capitol. It would certainly be a massive blow to his chances, but he could still very well be a strong candidate in 2024, the Republicans wanting it or not. Impeachment won't make him a bigger threat as a candidate if it makes him incapable of running. But also, one thing is keeping him from running. That could very well be the reason for McConnell and other republicans. Another is setting a precedent. It can certainly be discussed whether that's the right decision, but sometimes setting an example is the reason, not major strategic thinking, even in politics.
  11. I'm sorry, but I'm close to laughing. This happening to Dr. Moustafa's big event is kind of magical.

  13. The handball schedule is too packed to be able to postpone. It would be a cancellation
  14. Not much renewing reasons for Sweden. Some said no due to Covid, others not feeling ready after injuries. Andreas Nilsson asked for 2 days off with the family due to a tight schedule but didn't get it, som that became a no from him as well. I would btw call Gottfridsson a decently big name as well.
  15. USA will be sending a pretty small squad as 18 players have tested positive. To begin with, only 12 players will be in Egypt. National team coach, Robert Hedin, will not be going as well, as he is also positive.
  16. You need to study some history!
  17. I certainly hope they are better prepared in 10 days considering what some people write on Parler.
  18. A private company banning a user has nothing to do with free speech... The main problem about this is how incredibly inconsistent they are when banning Trump (and a bunch of supporters and people around him) while people in other countries utter their hate speech without consequence.
  19. We don't need Norway when we have Greenland (usually our best skiiers were born there) We only need Norway for a place to train
  20. Suspiciously Norwegian-sounding? Who? And we've become a pretty decent speed skating nation and have had a couple of good freestyle skier throughout time. Not to mention that we are in both ice hockey World Championships But sliding, no. We have had 2 groups trying to qualify in bobsleigh before. One did but wasn't selected by the NOC. This is rather new with Rasmus as the first one and a bobsleigh just started with 2026 as the target.
  21. The Danish Health Authority has announced that plans are that everybody willing will have been vaccinated by june 27.
