With Leman going out, this will be the first ski cross final without a Canadian, men's or women's. These Olympics are just getting better and better for Canada! Now to watch our curlers lose again...

Sharpe and Karker are doing great in halfpipe, but it'll be really hard to beat Gu.

I did some math because I was bored (beats doing what I'm supposed to be doing). In terms of percentage of total medals and golds offered, these are Canada's worst Games since 1992 and 1988, respectively. To be as "bad" as 2002 in terms of percentages, Canada would have to win 4 more medals and a whopping 6 more golds. I know I'm just harping on it now, but these Games have been a really big disappointment for Canada across the board. As always, there have been shinning stars like Weidemann, Parrot and Dubois, along with strong underrated performances in alpine, biathlon and cross-country. But Canada is moving backwards in several sports.

A public execution may be needed. I'm sick of Canadian announcers talking about the world catching up. No one forced Jones to miss that easy shot in the Swiss game to lose. No one forced her team to miss 8 shots in a row against China. No one made the mixed doubles forget how to play curling suddenly. They just played badly. A 15 year old at the local rink could have made those shots.

Only way for Canada now is if Korea comes back and beats Sweden. They're down 2 in the 10th with hammer.

They did, but Japan losing means they tie with them, too, and Canada lost to Japan. So because all four teams beat each other at some point, it comes down to draws to the buttons over the week and Team Jones is dead last in that category. It is frustrating that Canada beat 3/4 of the other teams they're tied with but will not make it in.

I'm watching all three games and literally everything is going wrong.

Jones did this to herself with that pathetic ending to the China game last night. TBH, she doesn't deserve the playoffs. But I still want it.

Well, only chance for Canada now is if ROC and KOR don't both lose, or both don't win.

Phelan would have gotten second if Smith wouldn't have gotten off track at the finish. Oh well, one Canadian in the final.

She probably took that late penalty so US would score and she'd get the GWG.
