I work for the organizing committee of the 2018 World Junior Badminton Championships. We are drafting up a release on introducing Li Ning as the main sponsor for the event, the company ofc named after the final torchbearer at Beijing 20084 points

Should have been quicker to conquer those high seas if you wanted more talent, 16th century Polish leaders clearly didn't have a smart mind thinking about future sports results.3 points

Omg. Two years ago we couldn't even dream of having a male middle distance runner in any championships. Simas Bertašius put so much work in, 3 national records this year and a final at EUROS2 points -

Sadly, I can't remember. But I do remember putting alarm for 5am next morning in order to watch my first ever shooting competition. And how did that end? With totally unexpected bronze for our shooter, winning the very first medal of the Games accross all sports...2 points -

Nothing for 6 years?! *facepalm* She had 55.16 at the 2015 World Championships. 53.80 at 400m (indoors) in 2016. She recovered after injury last year and ran 200m at the NCH (24.13 with +1.4 wind though).1 point

I’ve been lucky enough to visit both Vancouver and Whistler and can say, without a doubt, they some if not the best places in the world. Definitely was my favorite vacation, and of course I visited almost all of the venues. My favorite was the bobsled track because I’d never seen one before.1 point -

Beijing 2008 was my favourite Olympic ceremony. It was magical, and the lighting of the flame was just wonderfully done. The closing ceremony when the flame was extinguished was one of the saddest moments ever1 point -

Vancouver 2010 is my favorite because of..well, because of everything The biggest emotions (from the Nodar Kumaritashvili tragedy to the absolutely fantastic Hallelujah cover performance) and then the whole games since the first event (Ski Jumping Normal Hill Individual to the very last second of the games and the goal of Sid in the Ice Hockey final. everything just everything, our first ever Gold medal from winter Olympics since the independence ofc..by Nastya already in the first day of competition, our most successful Winter games in history with 3 medals, 4th place of our Ice Hockey Mens team, participation historic of our womens Ice Hockey team..The absolutely stunning images, landscapes, real winter games. really everything, I can not. It´s stronger than me, Vancouver will be for ever my Number one. from A to Z.1 point

I love OG in Asia because I love watching events at 4am for personal life reasons it will be more difficult for me to follow 2020 than it was in 2008 but still, i will enjoy those nights falling asleep in the sofa with a rowing race on tv.1 point

For a little balance in this argument I looked at the track and field events at Rio 2016. The number of naturalized athletes on some of the major European countries is as follows: Turkey 13 Spain 9 Italy 6 Germany 4 Great Britain, France, Netherlands 2 Poland 1 I'm not counting athletes who were entitled to citizenship since birth (eg those whose parents came from the country they now run for)1 point -

Well, here not at all Hardly you can find any mention about it, maybe only the athletics thanks Matej Toth´s silver, otherwise nothing. Here our 2 main sports sites first pages as you can see the top news are about the U18 Ice Hockey tournament Hlinka Gretzky Cup in Canada and the Slovakia U18 - Canada U18 match, followed by the death of Stan Mikita (First Slovak player and huge megastar of the NHL) and ofc Spartak Trnava in the Champions League qualifying round 1-1 in Belgrade against the Red Star Šport.sk Sme Šport1 point -
