  1. Hi guys! Unfortunately I had a crazy week at work (still having, to be honest), so I have to delay the Festival of Music for some hours, more precisely to tonight at 20h00 (Brasília time), because I'm still preparing some things. As usual, the Festival will stay on for days so you guys can post songs from nations that aren't participating at the contest this year. I'm sorry for the inconvenience but I promise this won't happen at the weekend of the song contest - as I won't be working at my office on Saturday and have resquested to be free at Friday from my other job. Thank you all.

  4. For 2022, there will be a qualification system for each sport. My suggestions: -Athletics - Use the IAAF rankings to determine qualifiers and limit field size to certain numbers using past participation as the standard. -Basketball (3x3): Top 8 teams per gender (including hosts) in the FIBA Rankings -Badminton: Top 16 teams in the rankings qualified. Limit the singles/doubles fields as well. -Boxing: Top 12 athletes in the world rankings per event should qualify, with 16 wild cards to be awarded equally among men/women. -Judo: Top 9 in the world rankings + 1 wild card per event. -Diving: I don't think diving needs a system, the numbers are good enough atm. Maybe a minimum score to qualify? -Cycling: Use a similar system as the Olympics, but adjust qualified numbers, -Swimming: A/B Standard qualification times, invite 8 teams for each relay only. Also limit each individual event to a max 2 athletes from one country. -Gymnastics: The number is adequate enough across both disciplines. Not sure what to suggest here. -Triathlon: 28 athlete fields per event. 26 spots reserved for the world rankings + 2 wild cards. -Lawn Bowls: Max 20 per event, using a world rankings/qualification event. -Netball/Rugby sevens: Same system as in 2018. -Weightlifting: Same system as in 2018 -Squash: Max 32 in singles draws and 16 in the doubles draws. -Table tennis: Max 12 teams per team event. All other countries can enter a max 1 male and 1 female. -Wrestling: Top 9 in world rankings + 1 wild card per event. Parasports- Plan ahead and choose events which have the most representation. It was ridiculous too see many events here with just 1 or 2 medals awarded. -If a country fails it can enter 2 track and field athletes/2 swimmers (just like the Olympics)

  6. Let me repeat once again because you guys seem confused...based on the IWF-IOC document: countries can be banned from Tokyo 2020 if they record 3 doping cases during the qualification period; considering the period from the start of Beijing 2008 to the end of the qualification period for Tokyo 2020, countries with 20 or more doping cases can qualify only 2 weightlifters (1 man+1 woman) but they are not banned (so, Gianlu33, at the moment nobody is "escluso dalle Olimpiadi"). Countries with 10-19 doping cases can qualify only 4 weightlifters (2 men + 2 women); when the procedure for 2008-2012 retests is closed, the number of cases per country should be (countries with at least 3 cases) As Dragon said, some doping cases from 2016-17 are still to be sanctioned.

  12. In 10 editions of the Totallympics International Song Contest (Annual or Open editions), more than 50 nations across all continents have participated at least 1 time. This year, we have broken the record of most nations participating in the annual edition of the contest with 41 countries represented. Even so, we're missing some nations that have entered songs before, often a long time ago. Here, we honour them, hoping that some of these can be remembered in the Festival of Music - and maybe make a comeback to the competition in future contests.

  14. I'd bet that shooting will be added as the 18th sport like beach volleyball was here. This sport allows many small nations to compete. Dumb decision to omit it completely. THough I would prefer beach volleyball be added too. 17 seems like a low number for this event.

Very stupid and a lot of people were against it (like myself). I will still sing it with the original lyrics, just like Sarah Pavan did at the Commonwealth Games.

  34. Yes, the players from teams that did not qualified for the NHL play-offs, and their players were not sent to the play-offs of their respective AHL farm teams (mainly the young players with two-way contracts) are allowed. The problem is how many of them will also confirm their participation and accept the invitation of their National Team coach. For example for SVK, we have so far only 3 NHLers who confirmed their participation, Andrej Sekera, Tomáš Jurčo and Christián Jaroš. All others which clubs didn´t go through to the play-offs and were eligible refused the invitations for several reasons, Jaroslav Halák (end of contract and afraid of eventual injury which will complicate his new contract negotiations), Richard Pánik (expect the birth of their first child in May), or few others like Marián Gáborík (Injury), some others were sent by their teams to the AHL farm teams and others who play the play-offs are just not eligible until their team will be eliminated but it´s the same practically for each team, meanwhile some super stars already confirmed heir participation like McDavid or Patrick Kane
