Photo of yesterday's podium in Cerro Catedral: Today was a good day for Bruna, a really, really good confidence boost to close out the South American snow season Only 19.2 seconds behind Dominguez who is very familiar with the rather technical course there (where she trains a lot, and Bruna had barely ever trained before), after an exhausting few days/weeks....she said she'd give everything today because it's my birthday and she crossed the finish line nearly dead so that's good Today's podium:

Exactly. World titles will be awarded to the winners of Junior, Under 23, and the huge numbers of Age Groups. The Elite triathlon will be "only" the last stage of the World Series so the final ranking of the World Series will not be the same of this race. Anyway, as you can see in the results thread, a bigger amount of points are awarded for this stage.

Yeah... It's sort of ridiculous that triathlon doesn't have "normal" World Championships.

The Jordanian federation has said: Hope all is well and thanks for your email. Indeed we currently have a skier (Suhail Azzam) working on qualification for Winter Olympic 2018, he's one of the 2 Jordanian athletes who participated in the Sapporo Asian Winter Games. Jordan is also in the process of registering with FIS (Skiing International Federation). I have cc'd members of our committee for winter sports, media team and Suhail himself on this email so you can get more information. He has been dedicated to training for the last month and a half and should be training for another 2 months until he starts competition in December. His main issue will be time as he will have to log a low enough FIS total before the deadline in January. Jordan has never qualified for non-exibition Winter Olympic sport, so this gives him an edge and with no others from Jordan attempting to qualify if he improves slightly between now and competition he should have a 40-50% chance of qualification. Will keep you updated once he completes his first competition. Please note that we are also working to grow our scouting for Jordanians around the world who have the potential of participating in the Youth Olympic Games 2020 and Winter Olympics 2022. Best Regards, Nasser Majali Secretary General Jordan Olympic Committee So maybe alpine skiing. Based on the AWG though I'd say at least this year it's a long shot bid.

Well we have enough athletes to compete in the team event, but of course the level will be too different and the eventual medal chance will gone away, but we still don´t know the results of the examinations, the hope dies last, so we still can hope that it´s not too serious, but you know this kind of injuries usually requires surgery and then at least 6 months rehabilitation, so if the worst scenario will be confirmed and she will need surgery her season, last slalom globe attempt, our olympic medal hopes and all her career will be definitely over
