  2. Our medal target of 8 medals exceeded with our 9th medal at these Games from Niamh McCarthy. It was a low target but so was our Olympic target and we didn't even reach that

  3. Team championship was also completed today in equestrian. For some reason that event isn't listed on the main page. https://www.rio2016.com/en/paralympics/equestrian-ind-championship-test-grade-ia

  7. We have athletes who use the TUE, but they are few. We have a very poor medical and legal training in athletes, coaches and doctors. They are from the time of the Soviet Union used to the simple methods work. For them, the registration of such securities - it's hard to do. We do not have the normal legal education. Therefore, athletes often fall for doping. They do what they are told. And they are often used to achieve the objectives. About painkillers I agree. But now it has become very popular, "to hurt heavy disease" that only illegal drugs can be cured. Nobody prevents to some American doctors come up with for an athlete's disease and make a recommendation for use of illicit drugs. I really want to have an independent IOC medical commission, consisting of representatives of many countries that have athletes tested for the presence of diseases, and reaffirms the recommendations of the national doctors.

  8. Why doesn't whole Russia also "dope through TUE"? Legal and effective, perfect. And the thought of sick people not being allowed to compete is proposterous. That's asking them to compete only if they are willing to compromise their health but not taking medicine. I'm not familiar with Williams' sisters conditions (although Venus does have a known problem apparently), but for example the medicine that Biles is taking has nothing to do with her physical conditioning, it's just an ADHD medicine she's been taking since the tender age. So, medicine for her nerve system. Also remember cases like Justyna Kowalczyk and Oksana Baiul for example. They were on painkillers when they won their Olympic medals because they just couldn't compete without them after getting injured... And talking about getting a lot of painkillers...Dressage rider Anna Kasprzak competed at European Championships last year with a broken sternum and ribs after a horse kicked her in the chest a day before the start. Doctors gave her 21 different painkillers.

  9. Now the whole world of sports is divided into 2 parts. 1. Those who take dope secretly (such as Russia ), and 2. Who makes the dope through TUE's. And if the first catch, the latter getting the advantage of "legitimate". I can't imagine what hurt the Williams sisters, that they can take as many hard drugs. The participants of the Paralympics should be more healthy people. In addition, recent history with Dr. Brown and Salazar showed that diagnoses can be set just so important in time and correctly issue TUE's than many strong athletes (as Phelps, Williams, Norwegian biathletes and cross-country skiers) are. I believe that if the drug is in the black list WADA, that under no pretext can't be used. If a person is sick and can't compete without these drugs, then it has no place in sport.

  10. Everyone should learn to be supportive. Running a prediction contest is a difficult task on it's own, let alone running 9, during the Olympics (Which I believe as sportsfans they wanted to watch too, instead of spending their time counting points). The position of running prediction contests is stressful and it's a monotonous task. Deuce did it for many years and got so tired of it that he quit the forum for good. If you're still hoping to have more prediction contests in the future, stop pressuring them too much and let them work at their own pace. I fully understand that everyone is eager to witness the results, but we can't forget about the people behind the results.
