  1. To finish this discussion I will summarize the position of the Russian fans from our forums: 1. A few weeks ago we read an interview Rodchenkov, where there were many fantastic words (FSB agents, drugs with alcohol, the hole in the wall, etc.). 2. Assembled a Commission which was to investigate these words. 3. The Commission repeated the Rodchenkov's words, but when McLaren asked about the evidence, he said that "We don't know how it was all done, but we know it could be done". This is ridiculous. This is not the response for which was spent so much money on the investigation. 4. The report contains a lot of strange things that are hard to believe. For example, the firm, which produces bottles for samples said to open them is impossible. http://www.berlinger.com/drug-and-doping-control/media/media-release-detail/mclarenwada-investigation-of-sochi-2014-allegations/ And if McLaren will be able to open them and show everyone how to do it and we believe. Because in Rio we will see the same bottle. And this is the problem for all athletes. 5. We are very angry because there is a possibility that Russia will not participate in Rio. 6. Rodchenkov was an important man in the system and we believe that this could be, but we just want to see it (pictures, letters, witnesses, the names of the athletes, the exposed sample, something) 7. We are sad because everyone is saying that Russians are bad, but do not say why. 8. We don't like Mutko and all these officials that to win will use any means 9. We want to have suspended all the athletes taking doping, but we want clean athletes participated because we know what effort they made to get to the Rio (especially the Paralympians) 10. We are waiting for the rechecking of doping tests from Russian athletes Sochi 2014. This is the only way to show that all that was really. P.S. I know Olga Vilukhina since childhood and I saw how she trained to win the silver medal. She always had health problems, but she trained more and better than anyone. And now everyone says she's a criminal. But nobody can prove it. It's like the judicial system in North Korea.

  4. that's because americans and british are all clean, they are superhumans and are able to beat doped russians. oh, wait that's Rocky. it will be huge win for clean sport when Britney Reese jumps 7,50 in Rio

  6. I wouldn't exactly call Logutenkova a plain cheater, I'd rather call the Ukrainian federation as cheater. No way that Logutenkova did this all by herself. She was outside of qualification zone coming into the last week of qualifications. She competed at some serious World cup competitions where she was scoring 68%-69%, so not good enough to qualify. One of those competitions was in Neumunster just 2 weeks before deadline. But then her sponsor (VIAN Group) organized two competitions in Lier in the last week of qualification period. In Lier she magically massively improved her scores (to 73%-74%, with a help of two Ukrainian judges)... FEI later disqualified some of her results from that event (in which Ukrainian judges gave her 11% higher marks than anyone else). But they didn't disqualify her other results in which Ukrainian judges gave her 4-5 percent higher marks. And even though they didn't disqualify all Logutenkova's scores, Ukrainian federation still actually blackmailed FEI saying that they would sue them unless they apologize publicly for saying that Ukrainian judges did nationalistic judging (their main reasoning was something like: "It's all a conspiracy against a nation that is in war" ). Thankfully FEI at least didn't make any public apologies...

  7. No only maybe in China. 10 hours under water is really very-very hard. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0QX-u5XsCA USA training https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqzAizCk0jM Russia training It's very big difference

  8. Because 1. there were coaches like Tatyana Pokrovskaya and Irina Viner (rhythmiс gymnastics), who created the system of training. from young children to adult teams 2. These sports (and figure skating) are very popular with russian's mothers who give little girls in school sports 3. And the most important! Russian synchronized swimmers and gymnasts train for 8-10 (!!!) hours. Everyday!

  9. Yeah, I've read that letter. If I'm not mistaken, he didn't get any answer? One more note from Russians. You said about anger of Russian sports fans - yes, many of us have that feeling. In the end it's hard to believe anyone about this deal. Of course, as every person, I wait for positive ending of the story, but things are going worse and worse. I also waited for some actions from WADA to build anti-doping control in Russia by itself(or some documents how it should be done), but there are none of them and it's the worst thing in all the story. It's easy to destroy and hard to build. If we talk about possibility of reality of that story - that can be true(but seems that in some diiferent way than it was shown in the report). In Russia sport is one of the ways to the richness - for Olympic gold medal you can get 200000$(!!!) and new Mercedes(!!!) from the government. For usual sportsperson these money is enermous. More than that, nearly all professional sport in Russia is sponsored by the government. And when somebody becomes an athlete and goes to that glory and money, there IS a chance he will try to cheat. Think - what can you do, if once you can get a chance to get all that money(and after that there is high possibility you will stay become popular through all your life)? A few of the athletes, unfortunately, choose the wrong way. But sorry, I don't see any connection between that and people who not only compete, but know that they're Russians and try to defend themselves any way they can. The thread is still opened, ask, if you want to.

  10. Oh, IOC decided to cancel presumption of innocence of Russian athletes about doping. So, should athlete by himself go to foreign ADA and tell officers there to take test from him?)) Because it's unusual situation and we need to know how it should work(do they mean all sportspeople from every sport? Should, for exmaple, Russian speedway(or in any other motorsport) team do something in that situation?
    1 point
  11. Ok. That's clearer. Preciado is called "second flagbearer" (or junior, if you must) and Chocho is still "first"/senior. He received it because of Chocho's ausence but Chocho should still be flagbearer at the parade of nations. EDIT: Way slower, lol
    1 point
  12. In real life I have some connection with Russian national speedway team (Polish guys should know what it is), and even riders write that they are a bit scared how it can influence on them (but to be honest, there is no connection between them and IOC, cause we would never see motorsports in Olympics).

  13. strange. but well, thanks for the answer and I will cheer for her to do well in both actions then

  15. I would add that even in most Russian-hating newspapers there it is everywhere written that number of proofs and facts is close to zero, and the point of discussion shouldn't be "if Russia should be disqualified", but " if that story is true".

  16. Please, tell us the facts now, we're waiting. Hollywood-style stories are not the facts. We have mentioned earlier strange table with interesting numbers (with no dates or any additional info) What else?

  18. How did you get the idea to look on Azerbaijan's 2016 Olympic page, in the Azeri language? Sometimes I really wonder how on earth you people find these kind of things
    1 point
  19. The majority of Russians would thank IOC for that decision, lol)) Mutko seems to be the worst Russian sports minister ever, even without that doping story.
    1 point
  20. Well, we either feel sorry for the dozens/hundreds of clean Russian athletes or we feel sorry for the thousands of clean athletes from everywhere else who will be cheated out of Olympic glory by dirty Russian athletes. If the report is true, then Russia is the one who broke the rules so they should feel the consequences. It's like saying, "Don't put the criminal in jail, it would be unfair to his innocent family!". If Russia wanted to be fair to their clean athletes then they shouldn't have cheated in the first place. I don't think any other country would boycott if Russia is banned. Maybe Belarus? I can't think of anyone else.
    1 point
  21. Even if we let that all these things COULD happen. It is known that the most problematic sports for doping in Winter Olympics are skiing and biathlon, but Russia had worse(!) results in biathlon than in Vancouver and nearly the same in skiing. A bit "ineffective" strategy for such "powerful doping country" as Russia, isn't it?
    1 point
  22. And don't you think, that all that story can be simple fairy tale? Through all the season the same athletes(do we talk about people who take part in not only one competition, right?) did tests in foreign countries in competitions, had top results and weren't caught. I have mentioned earlier that even now we don't have proofs for that "wonderful strategy" of FSB, and also FSB is made at first so clever and so stupid later. Sorry, I can hardly believe it.

  25. What is it "proven". Proved that Isinbayeva, gymnasts, wrestlers and others took dope?! No that's not true. They are clean, as well as other athletes from Russia and deserve to compete at the Olympics
    1 point
  26. I always get that response that of course not all British and Americans are clean but there isn't no state sponsored doping. And I'm failing to see ANY of high profile athletes from these countries getting bans. Are they just more sophisticated or there is something else to it?

  29. Oh, more Russian haters in the thread. To be honest - if WADA really wanted to clean sport in Russia, they should do totally different things: 1) Tell EVERY story of these scary anonymous Russian dopers(today we have no new of them) 2)Totally ban RUSADA, make all anti-doping work about Russian athletes outside of Russia and in that time try to make new clean agency inside of it with British, American - anyone who knows what should be done(today we have nearly no kind of this work) It's known that more names - less place for political rumours and discussions. But now we have only words about total(of course) disqualification and some clouds above events with Russian medals.
    1 point
  30. It's not their mandate to do so, it's WADA's one. Their duty stops within their own boundaries. Besides, seeing - among any other countries - the US and Canada calling for the ban, makes the theory of a political move credible and, in fine, downgrade the argument.
    1 point
  31. Rhetoric question. They don't. It's not their business to call for other country to be banned.

  33. Welcome to Cold War vol 2. In last two years is so IN to be in anti Russian mood. In spor there is acusations for sistematic doping, on Eurovision there is stories about political songs and anti gay laws and so on. And from the other side we have supernatural athlets like Michael Phelps who swim 10 races daily (and won 9), Marion Jones, Lance Armstrong, Ian Thorpe suoerman whose father worked for WADA....... Long live politics... I mean clean sport. Hurray

  37. Do you really believe that if he would have found changed test of someone of top athletes, he wouldn't say about that? If he gave the names privately just to someone, where are the confirmations of it from these "recievers"? There were no words about it.

  38. Shocking news are coming from the USA. According to usatoday.com, Maxwell Holt tested positive for doping, as a small amount of meldonium was found in his body on June 10! However, the US Anti-Doping Agency decided that Holt won’t be suspended as the player was not aware of using the illegal substance. Allegedly, the US Anti-Doping Agency decided that the player’s former club Dinamo Moscow is responsible for this situation, as the Russian team was giving meldonium to all of its players. Holtreceived meldonium before the Russian Cup in mid-December. We all remember the case of Aleksander Markin, who was later released of all charges for doping by the FIVB. Anyway, the most important thing is that Maxwell Holt will be able to play for the USA at the Olympic Games 2016. http://www.worldofvolley.com/News/Latest_news/USA/72039/usa-m-maxwell-holt-was-tested-positive-for-doping-.html

  39. That picture can be found in the report. How did they count it? Maybe, we can know just couple of names? When were these tests covered? Just something more than Chivas and FSB; people who did the report make FSB at first so clever to think of all that strategy, and after that so stupid to not to clean out all the possible proofs and let Rodchenkov to go out to the USA(if you didn't know, any person except the highest people in Russia who get the access to all secret deals is not allowed to go out of the country).

  40. Putin's reaction. He said that Russian officials from WADA report will be suspended until the finish of investigation.
    1 point
  41. I don't really believe that every test of Russian athlete from Lahti, Altenberg, Ruhpolding and other places goes straight to the Russian Ministry. If so, I would name Putin the most important politician in the world just that moment - nobody had such a big influence in all the sports history))

  42. Just business. More scandals, more money for WADA

  43. Oh, what do we have now again? Usual press conference about doping in Russia with fairy tales about Chivas and FSB with no proofs. Come on, all the athletes with medals in Sochi were tested many times and showed good results through all the season. It was not interesting at all to hear all these things about politics once again.

  44. and if they are not presented? unpublic legal processes are something out of the modern world actually. sport is for audience and we are to see that everything clear

  45. I thought it will be better shot. But this comission naven't said nothing new than Rodchenkov said in NY Times interview. They even haven't said any athletes names like Rodchenkov. Why? And still there are no public any real evidences except words. Words, words, words... Like previous special comissions of WADA. May be at least one evidence? Letter? Photo? Sounds? You have a lot of time for it. No. They give us only words and we have to believe them. They speak like politicans but not like real scientists who fight with doping.

  46. Of course all American athletes are so clean. USA-CAN-JPN-ESP on the line against the main rival Russia. Who will be next China? I am support clean sport, but for me it is a planned action. Russia should show class and retreat. I do not believe that some other countries like USA also they do not try this.

  47. no. it is not the same Im not for total ban of Russian athletes at all.

  48. I understand, but there should be at least something -- someone could allow to publish his words, someone could show his letters with ministry of sport or something. Anyone can make investigations with secret proves, but who can trust it
